Your post prompted me to revisit some old articles I had done about using Gravatars in AppleScript. I&#039;ve created a new post with updated techniques showing a couple reference implementations in AppleScript that others may find useful.

I&#039;ve also built a downloadable AppleScript application that will mass update your Mac Address Book pictures with Gravatars. (This is different than the existing Address Book plugin that only looks up one address at a time.) Of course, once the pictures are in Address Book they automatically sync to your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad, which is really nice.

Everything is GPL and free to explore, modify, and enjoy. I hope it spurs others to build more cool Gravatar integrations.]]></description>
