Change the default search URL (extensions.messagefaces.gravatar.url with about::config) to this:
http://www.gravatar.com/avatar.php?gravatar_id=%ID%&amp;size=%SIZE%&amp;default=img::blank

And empty entries won&#039;t display the default gravatar icon.]]></description>
