Gravatar 2.0 Coming in February!

The wait for Gravatar 2.0 is almost over. The new site will be released in early February with an all new interface and some great new functionality.

When the new site goes live, I’ll send a one time email notification to all account holders. If you don’t currently have an account, then leave a comment here (with your correct email address) and I will send you the notice as well.

Over the coming weeks I’ll be posting screenshots and other tidbits to keep you updated during the final phases of testing and deployment. Be sure to subscribe to the RSS feed to make sure you don’t miss anything!

Thanks for your patience, support, and enthusiasm. I look forward to a new and better Gravatar for everyone!

    Hey there Tom, I would just like to say that I wouldn’t mind getting the one time e-mail notification of the new release of the Gravatar website. I have been waiting to create an account and I am assured that this will be a great newer version which will further increase Gravatar as a whole.

    Good to hear your still ticking Tom. The blogging community had more rumors then you could shake a big stick at. My favorite two were that Yahoo and Google were going to fight over who could buy out your Gravatar project and the idea that you were selling it to Micro$oft Live.     You know, a couple of weeks ago I was working on a new site. I had heard about Gravatar so I wanted to implement support for that. So I went to this site and all there was, was this text saying “ehr, I’m updating.. please come back”.

    KIND of frustrating, but I hope you’re doing something great! And I really want to implement gravatar into my site since it’s a great concept and I fully support it.

    Yes, I’d like to be in beta, because gravatar’s stoppage caught me in the middle of changing email adres. And I think that my gravatar get lost in queue to rate image. So I don’t know if I have account or not.

    I only learnt about gravatar’s recently and to find out its getting reworked is intresting. I love the screenshots so far, looks clean and simple – how a GUI should be.
